The 5th Annual Sakura Gala was held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre this past Saturday, April 20th, 2013, honouring former Toronto Symphony Orchestra conductor Seiji Ozawa.
Running around in dress shoes for 6 hours was not my idea of Saturday night fun. But it was great to see friends and meet some of the guests, including Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Seiji Ozawa’s daughter, Seira (a notable writer in Japan), among others. It was also great to collaborate with fellow photographers Lori, Alexandra, Tomo, and Scott to make sure all the angles were covered, and to settle once and for all which camera brand is the best, Epson or Vivitar. Hats off to you!
